Dr. Cindy McCauley-Atkinson

Dr. Cindy McCauley-Atkinson is the owner and medical director of Animal Emergency & Referral Center of West Houston. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1995 and her undergraduate degree in Veterinary Science in 1991. She has been in Animal Emergency Medicine since 1995, and is going strong. Her compassion and drive show in her work as we move forward into the future. She is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), AVMA, AAHA, and TVMA.

Her special interests include exotic (birds,reptiles,pocket pets) species. She enjoys scuba diving, dancing and traveling. Her family includes her husband CJ, Milo her cat, and her golden retriever, Baseball.

 

 

Dr. Jennifer Clegg

Dr. Jennifer Clegg joined AERCWH in the summer of 2008. She is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, receiving her bachelors in biomedical science in 2003 followed by graduating with her DVM in 2007. After graduation, Dr. Clegg moved to Long Island, NY for a one-year internship at the Center for Specialized Veterinary Care. We are happy to have her back in Texas where she belongs, as she is an excellent addition to our team.

When she is not playing piano, guitar, or shopping, Dr. Clegg enjoys spending time with her furry family consisting of a Toy Poodle, a Yorkie Poo, 4 cats, and 2 rabbits.

 

 

Dr. Jack Ying

Dr. Jack Ying graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Missouri - College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, he stayed on to complete a one year internship in small animal medicine & surgery. Other than emergency & critical care, Dr. Ying has a special affinity for surgery. He is a member of the Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (VECCS) and the AVMA.

When he is not working, he devotes his time to his wife and two sons. He is an avid skiier and snowboarder, shooting sports enthusiast, amateur auto mechanic, and tries very hard to not be "owned" by his oldest son in video games. They share their home with Layney, an English Springer Spaniel; Cooper, a Bloodhound mix, and 3 cats - Bubba, Quinn, and Ripley.

 

 

Dr. Victoria Kuzara is a native of Western New York and is excited to now be practicing veterinary medicine in Texas! She graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She then went on to pursue a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Service in Rochester, New York. Dr. Kuzara has always had an interest in Emergency medicine and has been a member of VEECS since veterinary school. She also has a special interest in Ophthalmology.

In her free time, she enjoys running, leisure horse-back riding and indoor rock-climbing, as well as spending time with her rescue dog, "Kramer".

 

 

Dr. Rachel Brown graduated with her veterinary degree from Kansas State University in 2010. She practiced emergency medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 1 year before moving to Houston. Emergency medicine is one of her passions, and she is happy to be practicing in Houston.

In her time away from work, Dr. Brown can be found outdoors biking, running, walking with her trusty sidekick (Dante - a corgi), or exploring new restaurants.
