Dr. Leveque will be available to see your client's pets for their surgical needs. We know you have a choice when it comes to specialty care and we want to be sure that you know how much we appreciate your support. We value and recognize each referred case as an opportunity to be an extension of your services.
What is a Board-Certified Surgeon? The Referral Process The process begins with a veterinarian-to-veterinarian phone consult at 832.593.8387. During the initial visit, our surgeon will discuss surgical options. All questions will be answered and the patient will receive the attention he or she deserves. A copy of the patient's medical record should be sent prior to the patient's visit to our surgeon. Does My Pet Need a Surgeon? To help determine if your pets needs a surgeon, the ACVS lists five questions to ask your veterinarian befor your pet undergoes surgery:
As in human medicine, there are many surgeries animals undergo that would benefit from the attention of a specialist. Your pet depends on you to find a veterinarian with sufficient experience and training to perform that surgery. To help you and your pet, there is a network of veterinary surgical specialists ready to provide the special surgical care your pet needs. These specialists are the board-certified members of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. If your pet needs surgery that is more than "routine", be sure to ask your veterinarian these questions - because your pet deserves the best care possible. |
